  • What have I done?

    I picked up Raspberry Pi, and compiled SBBS and have a test BBS up and
    running in my homelab. Why am I doing this?

    We couldn't do this in 1995, but in 2021 we can.

    Why am I doing this?

    You can run your BBS on a nice little low power unit. :)

    you can do that now with a regular computer. they dont draw much at all and they can be quite small.
    my desktop is comical. i have this tiny motherboard mounted in this huge case with lights to showcase the beauty.

    I've got the BBS running on an old laptop now, when it fails I'm seriously thinking about moving it to the Pi. With a 64 GB MicroSD card and 128 GB
    thumb drive I've got more than enough space for the BBS and backups, and I
    can plug it directly into my gateway router.
