I'm needing to replace my keyboard. Due tomy physical
issues with my hands, I keep killing keyboards.
Would anyone have a Model M or a Model M-like keyboard
they'd be willing to get rid of for a decent price? I'd
love to buy a new one but can't afford USD$130 right now.
Tandy made model-M's you can find a lot cheaper...
I can buy a brand-new Model M for USD$120 online from the original manufacturer but was trying to find one cheaper than that.

How are you killing keyboards? Wondering what sort of key mechanism
you're looking for - something sturdier than new mechanical keyboards?
Unfortunately, my hands are worsening but I am trying to relearn to type. I was a touch typist for many years
and now I just beat the hell out of keyboards...
I am killing them due to diabetic neuropathy, specifically,
I have a hard time controlling how hard I hit a key as I
caanot feel how hard I am hitting keys. With a mechanical
keyboard, I can hear the click and know. I learned to type
on a computer using a Model M and I am used to their
"feel". I also know that I can beat on a Model M and it can
take it!

Ah.. then you won't like my "silent-key" Keytronic version.
