    Possible future career path supporting such insanity?

    I've used SAP and jdedwards oracle for many years. as an enduser, they've made things great. I've never seen an issue with an ERP that wasn't due to human error.

    are you using some cheap knockoff erp?

    Nuthin wrong with that. Bookmanager is much like that (ie, an
    order submission system, inventory, cost analysis, POS,
    reports, general accounting) but it costs over $6000USD to get
    started and then there is a yearly operating fee. OpenXP is
    much like all-in-one too, (ie. smtp, pop3, imap, nntp, and
    fido) but it also supports macros for adding programming key-
    sequences to do additional things.
