    From Jeffrey 1606E AF6BY@432:1/101 to echoirlp@groups.io on Wed Nov 1 11:42:02 2023
Is it possible to swap out my personal callsign on our -R node with our club callsign?

    Thank you,

    Jeff

Sure You sign in and change your settings over to your repeater callsign (
you must validate the new callsign) then you can use the same or a
different password. With the new callsign register it as a repeater listing instead of a -link
    Hope this helps

Yes. You will need to edit the configuration files for EchoIRLP. If your
node is a Raspbery PI from David Cameron, the configuration files location
are documented in his owner's manual located at https://www.irlp.net/pi/
If you have installed EchoIRLP on another IRLP node, the configuration
files are located in the directory /home/EchoIRLP/custom/.

Make a backup copy of these files before you edit them.

In tbd.conf change these two lines for the new callsign and EchoLink
    password.
    ConferenceCall =
    ConferencePass =

Also update the callsign and password lines in userdata.txt. Although this
file isn't really used anymore, one of the old scripts may still check that
the callsign matches the value in tbd.conf.

Reboot and the node should be ready to go.

    David McAnally, WD5M
